Company History

Formed in the late 80`s by Peter Kent, the Miniature Aircraft Factory was one of the original non-members of the `SMA`( small models association ).

The kits from the miniature aircraft factory rapidly became one of the top selling ranges of kits in the Uk and Europe, ( from our investigations into kit sales, only the MAF`s range of kits were only topped in 1994 by the FMK range of model kits ( which includes the Flutterbug with total sales since 1993 of over 50,000! )

The company was purchased by its present owners in 1997, when Pete Kent decided to retire from kit production.
